Rethink. Redesign.

Rethink the Future.

Redesign our Schools.

The Rethink Redesign Task Force's objective is to better position EISD to serve our students today and in the future by identifying opportunities to optimize resources.
EISD needs to determine how best to resource our schools, our teachers, our staff, and our students given the challenges we face, and we will need to make some hard decisions about our facilities, programs, and staff. So, this task force is meant to engage our community in an open dialogue about these issues.

Key Takeaways

  • Edgewood has a north star goal to have 16 B+ rated campuses, provide programming that prepares students for college, career or military readiness and maintain fiscal responsibility to the taxpayers and our community.
  • The district is experiencing challenges of enrollment and funding that, if not addressed, will impact the equity of the programming we can provide.
  • It is imperative we engage our community in meaningful, transparent dialogue about the state of our district, gather new ideas to better equip our students and present options that will move the district forward and turn these challenges into opportunities.
