Back to School 2022

Edgewood Independent School District is excited to welcome our students back to school for the 2022-2023 academic year! This year we ask all students, employees, and families to #ComeDreamWithUs as we achieve greatness in our District. Below you will find important answers to questions about the start of school.

Frequently Asked Questions

When is the first day of school?
EISD is a District of Innovation, which means some of our schools follow different calendars. Please find the best academic calendar for your student on our Calendars Page.

First day of school for 2022 is Monday, August 8 for all campuses except Burleson and Gardendale which start on Monday, August 15, 2022
Does my student have to wear a uniform?
Most elementary and middle school campuses require uniforms. Visit our Student Uniform page for campus specific uniform requirements.

All students, including high school students, must follow the Dress Code guidelines found in the EISD Student Handbook and Code of Conduct.

How can we sign up for student transportation?
Parents, please complete the form to request bus transportation for this upcoming academic year.

This request form is for regular routes for riders who reside 2 or more miles away from their home campus.

Students who need special education bus service will need to work with their respective campus to process their request, or to confirm that it is already in place.

You will need to know your child's campus name to complete this form | Solicitud de transporte en autobús.

Submission of this form does not guarantee that your child will qualify for bus transportation.

Please note that it can take 2 to 3 business days to process your request depending on the number of forms we receive. You will be notified via email once a decision is made.

If you have any questions, please contact the transportation department (210) 898-2045.
