Edgewood ISD is offering free COVID-19 testing to all on-campus staff and students, thanks to a partnership with
Community Labs.
The Community Labs testing process uses a PCR test that is effective in detecting asymptomatic spreaders of the virus. Testing is weekly and consists of a self-administered front nostril swab . Results are provided in 24 hours or less.
Weekly testing serves as an additional layer of safety EISD has implemented to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Additional safety measures include required face coverings in all district buildings, social distancing, and daily symptom screener apps such as
Dr Owl.
