Astronaut Dr. Bernard Harris Jr. Visits Brentwood STEAM School of Innovation
Brentwood STEAM School of Innovation students were visited by Dr. Bernard Harris Jr., former NASA Astronaut and first African American to walk in space. He spoke with scholars about his career field and the journey to becoming an astronaut. "To me its about having knowledge to become an innovator. It sets the stage for innovation and creativity and that's what we want to do for these young people,” said Dr. Bernard Harris Jr. in a recent interview with KSAT 12. After speaking about his endeavors, Dr. Harris Jr. answered audience questions about gravity, time travel and his experiences at NASA.
