U.S. Education Secretary visits Edgewood ISD
U.S. Secretary of Education, Dr. Miguel Cardona, made a visit to
Gus Garcia University School to get a first-hand look at how we are enhancing college readiness for our students.
Edgewood ISD is a part of the
Texas A&M University – San Antonio ASPIRE network, a first-of-its-kind collaborative effort between a public university and seven South Bexar County ISDs, that focuses on developing educational programs and enhancing the school-to-college pipeline.
Also in attendance was
U.S. Rep. Joaquin Castro,
Texas A&M University-San Antonio President Dr. Cynthia Teniente-Matson,
EISD Superintendent Dr. Eduardo Hernández, San Antonio-area elected officials, and more. It’s moments like these that make us #EdgewoodProud!
