On Tuesday, September 2, 2025, your child will be bringing home two important consent forms related to school health and counseling/mental health services.
In order to meet the requirements of Senate Bill 12, we kindly ask that you review, sign, and return these forms to your child’s school by Friday, September 5, 2025. Returning these forms on time will ensure that your child can continue receiving support from our dedicated team of nurses, athletic trainers, counselors, social workers, and other qualified school staff.

📵 New School Year, New Law! Beginning in the 2025-2026 school year Texas HB 1481 means students can’t use personal devices (phones, tablets, smartwatches, etc.) during the school day while on campus.
✅ Texas does allow exceptions for documented medical needs and IEP requirements.
✅ EISD Board of Trustees is currently working on updating policy & enforcement
