Esther chose Fine Arts because of its welcoming environment and the close-knit community she felt the moment she visited. “The students made it seem like they all knew each other—and I wanted to be part of that,” she shared.
Her love for music started at home with a small keyboard. So when she discovered there was a piano class here, she knew it was meant for her. What she enjoys most is the calm environment, being able to practice at her own pace, and the support she receives from Dr. Padilla. 💙
Esther’s journey shows how the arts create not only creative growth but also community, confidence, and belonging. 🌟
🎭 Our Academy Acting Company at Fine Arts are well underway working hard for their upcoming production of Hadestown as part of our Theater Arts Feature for National Arts in Education Week! 🎭
Based on timeless Greek mythology, Hadestown reimagines the tales of Orpheus & Eurydice and Hades & Persephone in a bold, jazz-inspired world. At its core, it’s a story of love, hope, and perseverance brought to life by the passion and talent of our students.
Led by Theater Arts Director Ms. Casso, our students are bringing the show to life in so many amazing ways:
✨ Lead actors are seen stepping into lead roles by rehearsing a scene on the stage
🎶 The ensemble is rehearsing powerful group numbers with the music director in the Black Box
🎨 Our technical theatre students are gaining hands-on experience designing costumes, building the set, and shaping the world of the show.
Ms. Casso says, "These opportunities give students the chance to explore their individual strengths while also learning how to collaborate as part of a larger creative community."
Performances are scheduled for October 15th, 16th, and 17th at 7:00 p.m. at the Fine Arts Auditorium.
