What an amazing honor for GGUS Chargers today! Medal of Honor recipient Brian Thacker spoke about his service in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He encouraged students to be brave, take risks, care for one another, and stay in school. Mr. Thacker took questions from students who wanted to know things like what the coolest thing he’s ever done is, why he joined the military, and what advice he would give to his younger self. When asked who inspires him, Mr. Thacker smiled and told the students they inspire him because he knows they are the future.
Thank you, Mr. Thacker, for your continued service to our nation.

No classes for students today, but come Monday we want to see you all back on campus!
Remember, if your student is missing class, they're missing more than just that one day of instruction. #AbsencesAddUp #IChooseEdgewood
No hay clases para los estudiantes hoy, pero el lunes queremos ver a todos de regreso en el campus. Recuerden: si su estudiante falta a clase, está perdiendo mucho más que solo un día de instrucción. #LasAusenciasSeAcumulan #ElijoEdgewood
