District of Innovation:

Call for Quality Schools

Through its public Call for Quality Schools, Edgewood ISD invites innovative proposals to strengthen and redesign existing campus models. This process opens the door for creative ideas that elevate student learning and expand high‑quality school options across the district.

To support strong applications, the Office of Innovation partners closely with school teams, offering ongoing training, targeted coaching, and detailed feedback throughout the proposal process. This collaborative approach helps teams refine their vision and build rigorous, student‑centered plans that drive meaningful school improvement.

Attention Educators!

Edgewood ISD is partnering with talented educators to build high‑quality, autonomous schools that reflect the needs of our community. By giving educators the freedom to design and lead strong school models, we create more best‑fit options for students, no matter their academic needs or where they live. This approach ensures every student has access to a school where they can learn, grow, and thrive.

School principals or external partner organizations interested in pursuing an SB 1882 Partnership must submit a non‑binding Letter of Intent using the link below. This step allows the Office of Innovation to connect with potential applicants and learn more about their vision. Submitting a Letter of Intent is simply an expression of interest and does not require you to complete a full application.

First, please review the Call For Quality Schools overview. Then submit a Letter of Intent. The final step is to submit an application.

The deadline to submit an application is February 18, 2026.
