Hello Loma Park Mustangs!

Welcome back to another exciting year at Loma Park Elementary School.  I am honored to be here for my second year as the campus principal. As principal of Loma Park Elementary, I am looking forward to providing our students with engaging experiences that will help them grow into independent thinkers and learners. I truly believe that if the students are engaged in their classrooms and “living their learning” they will be empowered to take risks so that they can reach their highest potential. Providing our students with Limitless Opportunities for Meaningful Achievement will help Loma Park students soar to new heights.

I could not be more proud to be a part of a school, community and district that is focused on student engagement, innovation, and developing our students to achieve great success in life.

As always, we encourage our families and community to join us in our efforts to make Loma Park the best it can be.  We hope that you will play an active role in our school this year by joining us for campus events, and assisting us in our efforts to make attendance a priority for our students.  Elementary school is a criticial period in our children's lives and being here everyday will help them grow into the independent learners we strive for them to become.  If we work together and have our students at school everyday; they will reach their highest potential in this ever-changing world.

I believe in a strong tradition and strive to take Loma Park to new heights.  GO MUSTANGS!

Welcome back Mustangs!  I am excited to start another year at Loma Park. I have been a member of the Edgewood family since 1990 when I started my career at Hoelscher Elementary as a bilingual teacher.  Through the years I have worked as a bilingual teacher, an Accelerated Instruction Teacher, an Instructional Coach, and most recently as Assistant Principal here at Loma Park.

As we begin the 2018-2019 school year, I want to encourage you to become an active participant in your child’s education. By working together, we can ensure your child’s success.  At Loma Park we believe in offering our scholars Limitless Opportunites for Meaningful Achievement, and in order to do this we need them here daily.  Attendance is a critical component of your child’s education and we look forward to seeing them everyday, ready to learn.

Greetings Mustang Parents & Community!

I am so very eager and excited to be a new member of the Loma Park Mustang community! As assistant principal, I am committed to promoting a safe, meaningful, and engaging educational experience for our students. I believe that all students have unique strengths and potential, and that it is our job as educators to tap into these and encourage learners to strive for greatness.

I received my bachelor’s degree from UTSA in interdisciplinary studies with an early childhood to sixth grade certification. I’ve been working in Edgewood ISD since 2012. In that time, I have taught at Roosevelt Elementary and also completed an internship in school administration. During my internship, I earned a master’s degree in educational leadership from Trinity University with a principal certification.
