    The original building is built
    An addition is built to house the office, library and Kindergarten classes.

    A new nurse's office, library, renovated Pre-K, Kindergarten wing and elevator are released
    A mural is painted by students, staff, and community members under the direction of Moodie in the Spring. It was sponsored by the Cenizo Park PTA and San Antonio Neighborhood Improvement Program. 
    March 19 Texas Legislature HR 183 Honors Cenizo Park Elementary for being awarded "exemplary" status by the Texas Education Agency. Introduced Enrolled


    Monday, March 23, 2009 The Grand Opening Ceremony of the New Cenizo Park Elementary. The original library remains as part of the new building. The new facility meets all state standards and is equipped with new technology.

    James Cisneros and his mother, Elvira, 85, stand in front of Cenizo Park Elementary School in September 2009. The school was renamed in December 2009 after his brother, Marine Cpl. Roy Cisneros, who single-handedly charged an enemy bunker to protect fellow Marines and died in Vietnam on Sept. 11, 1968.
