EISD students put their reading skills to the test in the annual Kibodeaux Battle of the Bluebonnets! Campus teams worked together to answer questions covering books from the Texas Library Association Texas Bluebonnet List.
The event was held at Perales STEAM Elementary and about 150 students and family members were in attendance to watch the competition.
Roy Cisneros Leadership School for Boys team, Strong Girls, took home first place, second place was the Loma Park Elementary Battle Bonnets and third place were the Loma Park Spirit Mustangs.
All three teams will be moving on to the Citywide Battle of the Bluebonnets hosted this year by Harlandale ISD on Saturday, May 28, 2022.
The competition is run by the District Librarians, Jaime Bagwell, Jeannie Hewgley, and Joseph Duffy. Thanks to all who participated and helped to make this event a success!
