Office of Employee Relations

The Edgewood ISD Office of Employee Relations works to improve employee-employer relationships by fostering and maintaining professional standards of conduct. The office also serves as a resource to guide district administrators through the grievance and disciplinary processes in a manner that adheres to district policy and state law.

To better serve the district community, the Office of Employee Relations is available to provide the following services:

  • Policy and procedural interpretations and administration

  • Reviews all proposed actions, including written reprimands, demotions, suspensions and terminations prior to being administered

  • Assistance and advice on the Grievance and Appeal process

  • Training and professional development and onsite specialized training upon request

  • Conflict resolution between parties via facilitated mediation and discussions

  • Confidential consultation, facilitation, and resolution strategies for workplace issues
