Back to School 2021

Edgewood Independent School District is excited to welcome our students back to school for the 2021-2022 academic year! This year EISD is all about #GrowingGreatness in our District through our students and staff. Below you will find important answers to questions about the start of school. We will add more information as the start of the new school year approaches.

Frequently Asked Questions

2021-2022 COVID Protocols F.A.Q.
Does my student have to wear a uniform?
Most elementary and middle school campuses require uniforms. Visit our Student Uniform page for campus specific uniform requirements.

All students, including high school students, must follow the Dress Code guidelines found in the EISD Student Handbook and Code of Conduct.

What school supplies does my student need?
Will there be a virtual learning model offered?
No, all students will return to in-person learning for the 2021-2022 school year.

While virtual learning is not an option this year, EISD is currently reviewing guidance received by the Texas Education Agency to offer "remote conferencing". Details will be shared with the community after the District finalizes the specifics for this option.
Does my student have to get the COVID-19 vaccine to attend school?
EISD follows and will continue to abide by the executive orders and guidelines set forth by the Federal and State Governments.

As of July 12, 2021, the State of Texas does not require students to receive the COVID-19 vaccine to attend school.

We will continue to work with our students and staff to not only wear masks but offer weekly COVID testing at our campuses and district facilities. Our students (age appropriate), staff, parents, and community will also continue to have access to receive the COVID 19 vaccine as EISD’s efforts to host vaccination clinics through our local health providers at our campuses and district sites.
