• Meet Mrs. Solis
First things first: I ABSOLUTELY LOVE READING.  I always tell my students that if they don't enjoy reading when they enter my classroom, they will adore it by the time they leave me in May.
This year will mark my eighth  year teaching in Edgewood ISD although it is only my third year here at L.B. Johnson. Third grade is, by far, my favorite grade level to teach because it is such a transitional year for students. You will truly see your child develop as an independent thinker this year, and it gives me so much pride to know I am a part of that development. I was born and raised here in San Antonio, Texas. In fact, I graduated from Holmes High School right down the road! I earned my BSED from Valparaiso University in Indiana and  returned to San Antonio as quickly as possible. This year I will be returning to student life as I work towards obtaining my Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. When I am not teaching, grading, or creating I enjoy attending concerts (I love, love, love music), reading, watching movies, and spending time with my husband and our two dogs, Thomas and Bailey.
