Ms. Ana Ooka

Ana Ooka was hired during the summer of 2018, after moving to San Antonio from Tucson, Arizona.

She and her son, Nathaniel, are originally from the beautiful island of Guam - an unincorporated US territory in the Pacific. She began her teaching career in Guam at Southern High School in January 2006.

After leaving Guam and moving to Tucson during the summer of 2013, Ms. Ooka taught at Tucson High Magnet School for three and a half years. She also taught for one year at Flowing Wells High School.

Ms. Ooka joins Memorial High School as part of the ELAR Department. She comes to Edgewood ISD with over ten years of high school teaching experience.
