• Call for Guest Speakers

Posted by Sara Talarczyk at 3/2/2017

    Dear Parents/Community,

Very often we are in need of guest speakers who can share their experience/expertise with our students. These experiences can be professional or cultural, or just life experience. Showing examples of cultural celebrations (dia de los muertos, cinco de mayo, etc.), speaking about living through historical periods (segregation, civil rights, etc.), adapting to extreme environments, and demonstrating use of math/science skills professionally are all instrumental learning opportunities for our students.

If you feel like you have knowledge to share, we would be glad to have you come in and speak to us! Please comment with what expertise you have, and I will contact you to schedule a time. Please be advised, that all parent volunteers must be approved through the district for the safety of our students. Here is the link to obtain clearance to work with our kids: EISD Human Resource Job Postings Fill out the application for the current year's Parent Volunteer.
