Mrs. Bigelow-Dyslexia Teacher
My name is Jessica Bigelow. I was born and raised in San Antonio. I went to college, and graduated Suma Cum Lade from UTSA with a bachelor’s of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies. Go Roadrunners! I am married to my high school sweetheart, and together we have a daughter Marianne, and are currently awaiting the arrival of our son Carter in November. We have two rambunctious dogs, Bella and Quinn, that we rescued from the hustling, bustling streets of San Antonio. My husband and I enjoy nature, camping and road trips. Our most exciting road trip took us through the taste of Tennessee Bar-B-Que, the historic sounds of Memphis and Nashville, and the breath taking views of the smoky mountains!
I kicked off my career in Edgewood as a 3rd and 4th grade teacher at Las Palmas Elementary. Eventually, I made my way to Roosevelt Elemtary where I am now the dyslexia teacher on campus. I am so proud to be a falcon! In the classroom, I have had the pleasure to challenge many growing minds, and created a safe learning environment for them to succeed. I take pleasure in getting to know and understand each one of my students to create a lifelong relationship with learning. I look forward to getting to know you and your child so together we can make a difference.
