    PURPOSE-Provide students with tools to create afoundation for lifelong learning, healthy choices, and future success.

    MISSION-Our dedicated efforts, in collaboration withstudents, parents, staff, and community will promote healthy choices to embracelife's challenges.

     

    Four Components of a Comprehensive School Guidance & Counseling Program:
     
    Guidance Curriculum- to help students develop their full educational potential, including the student's interests and career objectives.
     
    Responsive Services- to intervene on behalf of any student whose immediate personal concerns or problems put the student's continued educational, career, personal, or social development at risk.
     
    Individual Planning- to guide a student as the student plans, monitors, and manages the student's own educational, career, personal,and social develeopment.
     
    System Support- to support the efforts of teachers, staff, parents, and other members of the community inpromoting the educational, career, personal, and social development of students.
     
     
    The School Guidance Counselor....
    • Individual and Group Counseling
    • Teaches monthly guidance lessons in the classroom
    • Consults with parents, teachers, and admininstrators concerning students
    • Provides parent education and information regarding their children
    • Provides outside referrals to families on community resources
