Chapter Books

Our class uses chapter books from the Reading Leveled Book Room to enhance student thinking skills and challenge a student's Reading fluency and comprehension skills. The students really enjoy reading the chapter books because it allows them to have a sense of "reading superiority." The students begin to think of themselves as mature readers, thus challenging themselves everyday. We use chapter books in both reading small groups and during independent reading. What are some of the ways you use chapter books in your daily instruction.
