My name is Rudy Montemayor.  I am originally from the  
Rio Grande Valley.  My fun interests are travel, golf, 
and basketball.  I have been married for 39 years and 
have two grown children; a daughter and a son.  I  
received a Bachelor of Science and a Master's Degree  
in Guidance and Counseling from Texas A&M Kingsville.  
After our daughter and son went off to college and work, 
my wife and I moved to San Antonio.  In 1997 I applied 
and was hired as a counselor in our fine district.  Students 
and their families are the reason I work as a counselor. 
I am humbled when I realize my work can make a great 
and positive influence in a student's life.  I feel right at 
home as an Edgewood District employee.  Please feel
