Welcome back to another great year at Roosevelt Elementary.  I am looking forward to working toward exemplary with you and our students. 
 
We have hired many new staff members to our campus to include a new Assistant Principal.  I invite you to take a look at her website and get to know her. 
 
I will begin 21 years in Edgewood ISD this year and 26 years in education.  I am proud to serve the Edgewood community.  I will continue to work with you and your family to ensure excellence in the education of your child.
 
If I can help you with any issues, please be sure to contact the office and schedule some time with me.  I do ask that you attempt to resolve any issues with the classroom teacher prior to meeting with me.  However, if you are not able to find resolution, please do not hestitate to meet with me. 
 
I am proud of the academic progress of our students and the work that our teachers do to prepare our students.  We use the PBIS model (Positive Behavior Support Intervention Program) in order to provide structure, expectations and rewards for our students.  We utilize CSCOPE for math and social studies, Stemscope for Science and the new reading and language arts adoption is Journeys.  Last year, we opened a brand new guided reading room and teachers continue to have access to it in order to further the reading development of our students.   We invite you to come see the great things we are doing at Roosevelt Elementary.  Check out the article in the Express News that was written about our WAR room.  It casts a shining light on the work our teachers are doing for our students.  Thank you for allowing us to continue to touch the life of your child.
