| Welcome to the home of the Eagles at H. B. Gonzalez Elementary School! We are on the Road to Success this school year! I am looking forward to a very successful 2012~2013 school year. It is my goal to lead with heart, positive energy, enthusiasm, and most importantly, with purpose. My Background: I am a graduate of Incarnate Word High School (Go Shamrocks!). I continued my education at the University of the Incarnate Word where I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a Specialization in Spanish. Upon completion of college, Dr. Mary J. Miller selected me to begin my teaching career in Edgewood ISD as a 6th grade bilingual teacher in 1999 at Stafford Elementary. After two years, I then taught 3rd grade and during this time, I pursued a Master's Degree from Houston Baptist University in Curriculum and Instruction, with a Specialization in Technology. The following year I decided to take the opportunity to work as the Campus Instructional Technology Teacher. I served in this capacity for one year and then served as the Instructional Facilitator for six years. During my time as an Instructional Facilitator I returned to school to earn a certification in Educational Leadership. Currently, I am in a doctoral program studying School Improvement at Texas State University. I have been in Edgewood ISD for thirteen years and I intend to dedicate many more. I thoroughly enjoy working with the students, parents, faculty, and staff of the Edgewood Community. My personal vision is to educate and motivate! Parents/Guardians, you are always welcome to make an appointment with me to learn more about our campus and find out about the exciting learning opportunities we provide. Please join us as we board our energy bus driving to the road of success! |
