Edgewood District Veterans are men and women who attended Edgewood ISD school and who have served the various militry armed forces. Though most are Viet Nam Veterans, not every member is. The only requirements are having served in the military and attended the Edgewood District.
 
The Edgewood District Veterans help children in need of school supplies, winter coats as well as families in need, especially around the holidays. Money is raised by sponsoring dances, a golf tournament, and other functions throughout the year. They meet once a month, every third Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church on 39th Street.
