Graduation Requirements

Graduation Plans
 
Students entering 9th grade in the 2007-2008 school year and beyond must earn 4 credits of science, 4 credits of math, 4 credits of English and 4 credits of social studies, increasing to 26 the total number of credits required to graduate under the Recommended Program or the Distinguished Achievement Program.  Students will graduate under the Recommended Program or the Distinguished Achievement Program unless parent approves graduation under the Minimum Plan. 
 
Students graduating under the Recommended Program or the Distinguished Achievement Program follow a more rigorous core of instruction.  In addition, students graduating under the Distinguished Achievement Program must also achieve any combination of four advanced measures and three consecutive foreign language measures. See your counselor for more information.
 
Students who graduate under the Recommended Program or the Distinguished Achievement Program are eligible to receive the Texas Grant program (Funding available).
