My name is Cruz Ramirez-Gomez.  This is my third year at Kennedy High School and looking forward to working with your child.  I have been employed with Edgewood since 1994.  Before I became a Special Education Teacher, I worked as a substitute teacher for 10 years.  In January 2005, I was hired as an Inclusion Teacher at Truman Middle School.  I have worked in Life Skills for the past seven years, one year at Truman and three years at E.T. Wrenn Middle School and going on my third year at Kennedy HS. 
 
I am proud to say that I'm a product of Edgewood ISD.  I graduated from John F. Kennedy in 1990.  In 1997, I earned an Associates Degree in Business-Accounting from St. Philip's College.  In 1999, I graduated from The University of Texas at San Antonio with a Bachelors' Degree in Business Administration in Accounting.  I was also a member of the Accounting Society.  I am certified as a Generalist (Grades 4-8) and Special Education (Grades EC-12).  I am also a member of the Edgewood Lions Club since October 2011.
