In Basic Integrated Physics and Chemistry, students conduct field land laboratory investigations, use scientific methods during investigations, and make informed decisions using critical thinking and scientific problem solving. This course integrates the disciplines of physics and chemistry in the following topics: motion, waves, energy transformation, properties of matter, changes in matter, and solution chemistry. Students in Basic Integrated Physics or Chemistry receive TEKS instruction that mirrors the concepts taught in Integrated Physics or Chemistry content but are taught at a level as specified in each student’s IEP.
