Meet the Teach
I am a native to San Antonio and a product of our very own Kennedy High School. Upon graduation in 1997, I walked on at Texas A&M Kingsville and participated on the team’s baseball squad for two years. I would eventually earn my kinesiology degree from UTSA in 2003, with a Masters in Athletic Administration (MCAA) from Concordia University in Irvine, CA. I received my first opportunity at Pearsall Middle School as the middle school coordinator and coached football, basketball, and track. With college degree in hand, I decided to return back to our Edgewood community so that I could serve as a mentor for our youth. Completing seven years at Kennedy High School as a physical education teacher, one year at Stafford Early Childhood Center, and starting a new journey with the faculty and staff here at Brentwood Middle School. I am really excited for this opportunity to be able to educate young students on the basics of physical education and setting the foundation of their healthy lifestyles. Educating students on various skills, sport specific skills, fitness, character building, and literature integration are some of the key components that are targeted in physical education class. I am also slated to help coach football, basketball and baseball for the Rockets.
