West Edge
has evolved over a period of time, starting from a single performance of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra's
Christmas in Sarajevo in 2007, to performing at the South by Southwest
(SxSW) Music Festival in Austin in 2009
(as "outerheaven")
to being a major draw for 2-3 school performances every year.
 
Their performance at the SxSW Music Festival in Austin resulted in positive
National recognition for the
Edgewood Fine Arts Academy and Edgewood ISD. 
 
VH1 has a relationship with
Edgewood Independent School District,
as they do with many districts across the country, providing grants to provide music instruments to schools. We were invited by VH1 Save the Music to perform as part of a check presentation to an Austin School District, during the annual
SxSW Music Festival.
