I started at the the Fine Arts Academy in 2005 as the Fine Arts Literacy teacher.
In 2006, I took over the choir classes,
and in 2007, I started teaching Applied Music (piano and guitar) and Music Theory classes.
 
Prior to teaching at the Edgewood Fine Arts Academy, I taught Elementary School Music in Somerset for 7 years.
 
In addition to choir, I teach Applied Music 1 & 2, and Music Theory 1 & 2.  
Choir has 34 students, Applied Music has 40, and Music Theory has 34 students.  
 
Teaching at the Fine Arts Academy has been a blessing. The staff are some of the most talented individuals I have had the privilege to work with. I feel lucky to be in the company of other fine arts teachers who are dedicated to pass on their knowledge and skills to equally talented students. I also feel blessed to be part of the West Side culture and community as well as part of a district that values fine arts education.
