Welcome to Mrs. Merrill's Math Corner.
Hello, My name is Mrs. Merrill and I am an eighth grade Math teacher who loves the San Antonio Spurs, the Nebraska Corn Huskers, and Manu Ginobili.
I have been teaching in San Antonio for 17 years.  I enjoy teaching math and Algebra more than teaching any other subject.
In 8th grade math we are currently finishing a unit about probability.  In February, we will be studying the Pythagorean Theorem and taking a look at surface area.
8th graders in Algebra I class are finishing up studying about linear functions and equations.  We will begin studying quadratics.
The most important thing that I hope all my students learn while in my classes, is critical thinking skills and the ability to think through problems.
