Where your children are:
Beautiful or Handsome
Hi, I'm Ms. Diamond,
I hope you enjoyed your summer with your child/children. This school year it will be my privilege to help guide your child/children into discovering the world around them through reading.
I received an Associates Degree from Palo Alto. While working full time as a paraprofessional, I was granted the honor and privilege of being a part of Texas A&M Kingsville inaugural group that began Texas A&M San Antonio. I graduated from Texas A&M Kingsville in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science.
I have worked in the Edgewood School District as a teacher since 2002. Prior to 2002, I worked in Southwest ISD for 7 years as a paraprofessional. My career did not start there. I also spent 26 years as a hairdresser, listening to stories from teachers and principals. As they sat in my chair, they encouraged and motivated me to take steps toward receiving my degree in teaching. It was a joyous moment when I received my degree in teaching.
I truly enjoy teaching and watching the children light up when they understand a concept or make a real life connection to something we read.
My job is to help broaden the horizon of every child. Someone once told me, "Don't go try and save the world." My reply was, "One child at a time." So as each child enters my life, they become that "one" child.
If you have questions or concerns about your child/children, feel free to call or e-mail me. I will respond as quickly as possible.
