Welcome to my webpage!!
My name is Ms. Williams and this is my 2nd year teaching LIFE Skills at Edgewood ISD at Brentwood Middle School.
I attended Texas State University in San Marcos, TX where I received my Bachelor's of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies. My teaching certifications are: EC-4 Generalist, EC-12 Special Education, and ESL. While I attended Texas State I volunteered at A.W.A.R.E ranch which is a therapeutic riding center that allowed children and adults with disabilities to ride horses. I am the Vice President of the P.T.A. and have been a member since 2011. I joined Edgewood Lions Club in 2011 and am still an active member.
As far as my teaching style goes I am patient and understanding but expect my students to have manners and behave appropriately to prepare them for their 'real world' interactions. I believe each student has their own unique learning style and WILL learn in their own time and manner. It is my goal to ensure that learning takes place daily.
About the support staff: In our class there are three paraprofessionals that help support and facilitate the learning that takes place. I could not do my job without their support. They are Mr. Rodriguez, Mrs. Kinderknecht, and Ms.Navarro. Each of them brings their unique style and personality to the room which creates a wonderful work and learning environment.
If you need to reach me my conference time is from 1:55-2:47 and phone number is (210) 444-7675.
Thanks for stopping by!
