Hola! Me llamo Olga Escobar. I am the first grade Dual Language Teacher at Winston Elem.
I was born in Piedras Negras Coah. Mexico. My primary language was Spanish. My family moved to Chicago IL, where I attended elementary school and high school.
My husband and I moved to San Antonio Texas in 1983 along with our Three children (2 boys & 1 girl ). I always wanted to go back to school but, never thought I would have the opportunity to do so.
In 1995, when my oldest son was a senior at UTSA and my youngest son was a freshmen at Taft High School, Twenty-three (23) years after high school, I decided to return to school and go to college. It was a challenge, a wonderful experience and a great opportunity. with the support of my husband and family I received my Associates Degree from Palo Alto College and My Bachelors Degree from UTSA. I have been teaching at Winston Elem. since 2002. I enjoy teaching very much and I hope to continue teaching for many more years.
