Hola. Me llamo Maria E. Moreno. I am a Bilingual Teacher who has been teaching for 23 years. ¡Todos en Winston! Nací en Eagle Pass, Texas y mi primer idioma fue el español. En el primer día de escuela, la maestra de primero me llamo. ¡Sin embargo no puede entenderle! En la conferencia de enero, le dijieron a mi mamá que tenia que aprender a leer o empezar los tramites para educación especial ¡porque iba a reprobar! Al final de abril, con la ayuda de Debbie, una maestra de lectura, ¡estaba leyendo y escribiendo en íngles! Ahora soy ¡BILINGÜAL! Catching up with hard work and determination, I graduated with high honors from Judson High School. I entered San Antonio College with a small scholarship and no idea what college was about. I was the first person in my immediate family to attend college. It was a learning experience. I recieved my Associates Degree from SAC, my Bachelors Degree from UTSA and my Masters from Our Lady of the Lake University. So remember LEARNING IS FUN! I enjoy teaching children so leaving the classroom is far in the future. In 2003, I was Winston's Teacher of the Year. My love of math and science has helped my classes place in campus and district-wide science fairs. However, reading is my passion because it opens doors. SO READ READ READ!
