Fifth Grade State Standards and Classroom Expectations

Texas Education Agency Website The State of Texas requires all 5th grade teachers to teach specific standards to all of the fifth grade population across the state. These standards are assessed at various times throughout the year, as well as at the end of the year with a state assessment called the TAKS test.
