I’m so excited to be starting another year here at Winston!  Though many of us may already be acquainted, I’d like to tell you a little about myself.

          I graduated for Wayland Baptist University with a Bachelor’s degree.  I also attended Texas A & M Kingsville University and received my Masters of Education and certification in Early Childhood.  I’ve taught second/third grade, and first grade.  This is my fifth year at Winston and kindergarten is my absolute favorite grade level! 

          I’ve been happily married for twelve years to my wonderful husband.  We have two daughters and one son.  Our oldest is eighteen years old and a Freshman in college, my middle daughter will be 11 soon and in fifth grade.  Our baby will be 16 months old and we are enjoying every moment with having a baby in our home.   

          This year, we’ll be working hard to help your children become a little more independent.  My goal for your child this year is to make learning fun! In doing so, your child will acquire a love for school and knowledge. I believe the greatest gift a parent can give to a child is love, time, and patience. Being involved in your child’s education is a sure road to success. I also believe teachers and parents should work hand-in-hand as a team to build a consistent and solid foundation. I know we will have a wonderful year together!

          We have a lot of work to do but I always try to make sure the kids have fun while we’re busy learning.  I promise to do everything I can to help your child feel loved, happy, and successful.  If you ever have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.
