Wonder by R.J. PalacioPosted by Linda Gottman at 11/12/2013 2:00:00 PM
We just finished reading, "Wonder" by R.J. Palacio. I thought it was a very thought provoking book. So I have a few questions that I would like for you to answer.Star Wars is one of Auggie's passions. Why do you think this is? Do you see any reasons for Auggie to identify with these characters or to aspire to be like them? Was the book what you expected it to be? Do you think you will act "kinder than necessary" the next time you see someone who is different from you?

Welcome back to school!Posted by Linda Gottman at 9/5/2012
Welcome back to a new school year! We've been in school a week and there have been a lot of activity. I saw many of you on the first day of school as you walked into the building. I was so happy to see all of you. Many of you have already visited the library with your class. During your class visit, we read either "The First Day Jitters" or "Third Grade for Gus". Both of those books told stories about being nervous about going to school. I am glad we are past our first day jitters!I think this is going to be a wonderful year in the library and I cannot wait to read with you!
