Hello, Everyone! I am a native of the Rio Grande Valley; Edinburg to be exact. I graduated from Edinburg High School many moons ago. Being from a very protective family who would not fathom me moving away, I chose to pursue higher education from the University of Texas-Pan American located right there in Edinburg. I received my Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies in 1995. I am certified to teach first through eighth grade and bilingual/ESL. My first teaching job was in Edinburg. It was pretty neat seeing my previous teachers as colleagues. I taught third and first grade for two years each before I moved to San Antonio. San Antonio became my home away from home about 14 years ago. Here, I have taught second and third. I have, on occasion, been asked to teach fourth and fifth. I have earned a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with emphasis in Technology from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix in 2010. I became a Technology Teacher about seven years ago at Roosevelt Elementary. This is my first year at Winston Elementary and my first year as Instructional Technology Facilitator. I will have taught 18 years at the end of this school year. I love learning about technology and sharing what I learn with others. |
