Hi my name is Monica A. Ruiz.  I am originally from Harlingen, Texas.  I moved to San Antonio in 2000 and have made San Antonio my home.  I have been teaching for fourteen years, nine of which have been here in Edgewood.  I am a graduate of Texas A&M University in Kingsville  with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a specialization in Early Childhood. 
My hobbies are scrapbooking and photography.  I also like spending time with my dog Peanut.
