I am excited to be a part of the Loma Park family!
Although this is only my second year at Loma Park Elementary, I
am by no means new to education. I have been a proud member
of the Edgewood family since 1990.  I started my teaching career
at Hoelscher Elementary as a bilingual teacher, and after my first
year of teaching there was no turning back.  Hoelscher closed and
after 14 years in the classroom I moved to Roosevelt Elementary
and served as AIT for 8 years.  I served as an Instructional Facilitator
at Winston Elementary for 2 years. Now I begin a new chapter of
my life as I start my 26th year with Edgewood now working as an
Instructional Coach.
I believe that education, both formal and informal is invaluable.
In 1985 I graduated from Our Lady of the Lake University with a
BBA in Accounting and a minor in Economics.  Five years later ,
I returned to school at UTSA to work on my teacher certification.
In 2009 I earned a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction
and in 2010 completed my Administration coursework.  Recently I
received my Principal Certification.
My favorite past time is traveling and spending time with family
and friends.

I believe a good laugh is great for the heart and a smile can go a
long way!
