Here's a brief history: I was born on White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico. Since my father was in the Army, we were stationed there as well as in Japan, Washington (state), Germany, Maryland, and finally the grand old state of Texas. I now consider myself to be a Texan, through and through.
I went to UTSA to earn my Bachelor's Degree in Education and to the University of Houston to earn my Master's Degree. My first teaching job was at Emma Frey Elementary School here in the Edgewood Independent School District. I taught there (2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades) until it closed, and then I was lucky enough to get a position here at Roosevelt Elementary, teaching 4th and 5th grades. I am currently out of the classroom and working with the teachers as coach and with students as a tutor.
