I am excited about this school year. This will be my eighth year teaching in Edgewood ISD, but it is my first year teaching at Cisneros Elementary. Before joining the Cisneros team, I taught fourth and second grades at Roosevelt Elementary in Edgewood for seven years. I also taught Science and Language Arts for sixth, seventh, and eighth grade in another state before moving back to San Antonio.
As the daughter of an Air Force officer, I moved around while I was growing up. However, I consider San Antonio my hometown since we were stationed here more often than anywhere else. In between my years attending schools in Judson ISD, I lived in cities such as Montgomery, Alabama; Springfield, Virginia; and Miesau, Germany.
Prior to answering the call to become a teacher, I spent several years in the business world including time as a Reservations/Revenue Manager for hotels and as a Product Development Analyst for a hospitality company.
When I am not at school, I love to travel, read, spend time with my husband, visit family in Omaha and my in-laws in Galveston, and play with our three-legged dog Lexie.
Sarah (RIP) Lexie (when she still had four legs!)
