Before spring break, the district asked campuses to get video clips of staff, parents, and students lip synching to the song "Firework" by Katy Perry. Special thanks go to Ms. Reece, Principal, Ms. Searles, PBIS Chairperson, Edgewood ISD, and Magnolia High School for inspiring the campus to be involved in making this video. Everyone did a great job. Please click hereto see Roosevelt's completed firework video.
This video is dedicated to all the Roosevelt and Edgewood "fireworks."
Doctors from UTHSC, University of Texas Healthy Science Center, visited Roosevelt Elementary on Wednesday, March 27, 2013. The doctors from UTHSC encouraged students tobecome doctors. They shared stories about their experience in the emergency room, physicaltherapy clinics, and general surgery. Thank you UTHSC for providing all of our 4th and 5th grade students with adoctor shirt. Everyone loved wearing them to show support for the UTHSC doctors and National Doctor's Day.
On March 27, 2013, Roosevelt Elementary hosted a Daughter's Hero Banquet.
