I am so excited to be returning to LBJ this school year. The 2015-2016 school year will be my eighth year teaching and my fifth year teaching third grade. I must say, third is my favorite grade level. You will truly see a difference in your child as the year moves forward.

I was born and raised right here in the Alamo City, attending Northside schools and graduating from Holmes High School. Immediately following graduation, I headed up to Northwest Indiana to attend Valparaiso University. What can I say? I wanted a change of scenery. Boy, did I get it! I gained so much experience and met many people from around the globe. I participated in many extracurricular activities from student body to sorority life; it was a blast! (I strongly encourage all of my students to pick a college now to work towards in the future!)
After graduation I was fortunate enough to find a teaching job back home in San Antonio, so I loaded up my life and headed back. I taught second grade for a local charter school before being hired by Edgewood the following year.  Edgewood has provided me some of the best experiences and friendships I have ever known. Each day, I am thankful for my education which has allows me to drive to a job that I adore!
Most of my spare time is spent reading but I also enjoy shopping, running, and spending time with my pug, Thomas and mastiff, Bailey.  In June of 2015 I married my best friend of 12 years.
