Dear Parents,

I am delighted that your son/daughter is in my class this year.  We can look forward to many exciting and rewarding experiences as the year progresses.

I firmly believe that life-long success depends on self-discipline; therefore, I have developed a Classroom Discipline Plan that gives every student the opportunity to manage his or her own behavior.  Your child deserves the most positive educational climate possible for academic growth.  This plan will be in effect at all times.

CLASSROOM RULES

             1.  Respect yourself

             2.  Respect others

             3.  Respect your environment

CONSEQUENCES

If a student chooses to break a rule, these are the consequences:

            1st time-Warning

            2nd time-Time for reflection

            3rd time-Loss of privilege

            4th time-Conference with parent/Stage 1

            Severe Disruption-Office Referral

To encourage students to follow the classroom rules, I reinforce positive behavior using a point/sticker system along with the following:

1.Praise from Teacher

2.Stickers

3.Rewards and Prizes

4.Free Choice
