Hi! My name is Ms. Trujillo and I’m so excited to be part of the Loma Park First Grade team! Most importantly, I am thrilled to be your teacher! It’s going to be a fun year full of lots of learning and new adventures. I can’t wait to see what the year has in store for us. I want to know all about you, but first I’m going to tell you a few things about me.
I was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas and I am the oldest of three. I have a younger sister named Vanessa and she is a kindergarten teacher at Gardendale Elementary. I also have a little brother named Alejandro and he will be turning four years old in October. They are both my heart and soul. I also love to travel. The best place I ever visited was Hawaii. But there is no place like home. I graduated from Memorial High School and attended the University of Texas at San Antonio. Go Roadrunners! I majored in education and I couldn’t wait to graduate and start teaching!
I taught first grade for 7 years and last year I taught second grade. I was super excited to come back to first grade because I love teaching students how to become great readers. Plus, I now know how to get you ready for second grade. Having experience in first and second grade will really help me challenge you to become learning “rock stars”!
I’m simply overjoyed to be your teacher and for you to be part of this awesome and “rockin” class. This is going to be an amazing year!
