    JOAN SIMONDS
     
    Dear Parents,
     
    I am a graduate from UTSA here in San Antonio, Texas.  I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies.  My teaching certificate is in Elementary Early Childhood Education.  I have been teaching at Loma Park Elementary School since 1998.  I have taught Kindergarten for 13 years and 1st grade for one year.  I truly enjoy teaching Kindergarten. I enjoy seeing the children blossom into readers by the end of Kindergarten.  When I am not teaching I enjoy spending time with my family.  I am married with two grown children and two dogs.  I also enjoy taking long walks, bicycling, traveling, decorating and many other activities.  I look forward to a great school year.  My students are eager to learn and progressing each day.
