Dear Parents, It is a great pleasure having your children in my classroom! I have 19 years of teaching experience. Thirteen years as a kindergarten teacher, 4 years as a reading interventionist and 1 year as a first grade teacher. I graduated from the College of Architecture at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas and received my teaching certificate from Region XX in San Antonio, Texas. I have 2 children ages 13 and 16. What I love about being a teacher is watching the students grow throughout the school year. From the time they enter my class in August to the time they leave in June is such a big difference. It is incredible how much they learn in just a few months. The joy on their faces when they first learn to read is priceless! But their success is greatest when you, the parents, and I work together to help them learn. Lo que más me gusta de ser maestra es ver como crecen los niños cada año. De cuando llegan a mi salón en agosto a donde terminan en junio es una diferencia muy grande. ¡Es increible todo lo que aprenden en unos pocos meses! Y me da mucha alegria ver las caritas de los niños cuando aprender a leer por primera vez. Pero solamente trabajando juntos con ustedes padres podremos obtener ese éxito que merecen sus hijos.
