The School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) is a group of
individuals representative of segments of the community. They provide advice on Coordinated School Health programming and its impact on student health and learning.

Texas law requires that every school district have a SHAC and the majority of members must be parents not employed by the school district.and the superintendent

2012-2013 SHAC Members General SHAC meetings are held four times during the school year to discuss health-related issues relevant to the needs of our students. Some of the issues the SHAC focuses on include: Health and Physical Education in schools Food allergies in schools Curricula for human sexuality instruction District policies on bullying Nutrition services School zone safety School employee wellness	2012-2013 Meeting Schedule
